WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE IN LIGHT OF COVID19  - Please Read

Covid, what a crazy ride. Covid-19 is here to stay whether we like or not, I'm afraid, but as a human race we have experienced many pandemics before and persevered. I feel confident in time we will forget about this one too...

As a healthcare provider concerned for your wellbeing, I follow Washington State DOH guidelines for Covid-19 safety. As of 4/3/2023 Masking is no longer required in medical settings - you are free to wear or not wear a mask per your comfort level. I will be continuing to mask in order to share as few germs as possible, however, in my best effort to protect your health and safety.

I also ask that if you have any upper respiratory (URI) symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has had URI symptoms or verified Covid-19 in the past 5-10 days prior to your scheduled appointment, it is recommended that you stay home and engage in telehealth only until you have recovered or have a negative Covid-19 test. A Covid-19 screening form will review these questions with you before each treatment.

Telehealth will also continue to be an option for anyone who wants to use it. Cases that are especially suited to Telehealth include internal medicine concerns such as digestive issues and women's health issues, viral issues that can't be treated in person right now such as common cold and flu, and seasonal allergies, though there are many other conditions that can be treated with Telehealth session. Telehealth visits can include Acupressure instruction, Chinese herbal and supplement prescription, Meditation instruction, Ear seed placement (and ear seeds can be mailed to you), dietary and lifestyle advice and Facial Rejuvenation DIY protocols. If you want to know more, email me anytime, These can be booked online through my La Center location.

Here are the things to know about coming in for Acupuncture treatment under current Covid 19 guidelines.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT:
  1. Please wait in the shared lobby between my office and the Raven Hair Salon inside the building. You can check in for your appointment ONLINE HERE to let Rebecca know you've arrived OR text Rebecca at (360)952-3074. She'll come get you at the time of your appointment and bring you back to the treatment room.
  2. Please Complete the Covid-19 Screening Online if possible - this will be emailed to you prior to your appointment asking you to confirm that you don't have any upper respiratory symptoms and that and that you don't have Covid19 to your knowledge. If you cannot complete the form ahead of time a verbal Covid19 screen will be completed at the start of your intake and charted appropriately.
  3. Vaccination is not required, but being symptom free is. You do not need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to receive treatment, but out of respect for immunocompromised patients, please do not come in if you have a new or emerging upper respiratory condition, be it Covid-19 or something else. Please and thank you!
  4. ​Rebecca will be masked, but you don't have to unless it is your preference. As of 4/3/2023 the Washington DOH has lifted the masking mandate in medical settings. You are not required to wear a mask to receive treatment, therefore, but in order to protect immunocompromised patients, Rebecca will be continuing to mask herself. Masks will still be available complimentarily if you would like to wear one, however, and do not have one with you.

While no place outside your home can be 100% without risk, I will continue to do everything I can to ensure your health and safety. In addition to the items above, extra time is allowed between sessions for the HEPA filters to clean the air in the treatment rooms as much as possible, and I continue to clean all high contact surfaces (chairs, desk, door handles, light switches, hand sanitizer pump, all pens etc) with disinfectants approved for eradicating Coronavirus.
